An ammonite from about 250 million years ago. Named after the Egyptian god Ammon, who had ram-like horns. Shot in low light to bring out the 250 million year old colors. (5 years and 3668 days ago)

Thanks for the comments. This shell is about 6" at the widest point. It was home to an octopus like cephalopod.
