Come on now Author, straighten that photo!
Nice... but those lightbulbs are nowhere near as ecologically friendly as they'd like us to believe. They all have a coating of mercury on the inside. So, yes, they last longer, but we'll be dumping mercury into the landfills. Nice shot, though
Actually kyricom, we have a local recycling program for these to specifically keep them out of landfills for that reason, perhaps the program will spread with the growing acceptance of CFL technology.
ooooorrrrrrrrrrr... we could not have massive promotion of a product that contains one of the most poisonous elements on the planet
ooooooorrrrrrrrrrrr... we could straighten the photo? 0.95 is all it takes lol.
Locks, just because I can see your OCD kicking in....NO! LOL just hold your I-Pad at a different angle and all will be well
EDIT: I really TRIED to straighten the image...but the horrendous coating of heavy metals keeps knocking it off balance...I give up!
good idea. Think the photo could have more contrast and better composition.
And by better composition you mean??? any suggestions other than that? the bulb, which is the main part of the subject falls in the upper third (rule of thirds) and sometimes for impact the entire subject CAN be centered...I'm interested on a fresh perspective though, what exactly should have been done here?
Don't get me wrong either...I'm not trying to be "Smart"...I find that great suggestions can come from anyone, perhaps a bit more detail and I'll carry the shot
wonderful idea and execution.
nice ejecution

We have to let them go... (5 years and 3364 days ago)
Just see two kids sittin' there
IT doesn't look like they've got to the 'letting' go part in their relationship. It's more like the 'how can we sneak out late on Friday night' part of it .
I agree, where is the letting go in this. She has a big smile on her face, and he has a hopeful look.......
That's exactly what this image have to say. When the the children grow up,you have to let them go,have own life, new relationships.....It's the happy and painful moment when parents have to let go child to have it's own independent life. That's my vision.Much more then someone walking on the beach or park...Sorry, if we don't share the vision.
I can see that, but perhaps a portrayal of say, two parents holding each other as they watch their child drive off to college would have been a better way of showing it.
this image does not portray that which you are trying to say......imo.
Well, maybe I am off the theme if you all say so...
This image is a good example why we should upload a High Res. It looks very soft, until you look at the High Res.
author where is this picture taken...maybe i am familiar with the location...
@erathion: Yes, maybe you are

Wow I can be dense, when I first looked at this I was like WTF it's all squares and rectangles!
LOL!!! Thats why I entered it. Quite the contradiction huh?
well done
That's called creativity! The first look, and you see square shapes. The second look, and you see a lot of round shapes... Nice!
Thank you for noticing erikuri.
