highlights are a lil blown out of the birds head, but the use of depth of field is good and the use of the bill to bring u into the picture is well done. thanks for sharing

A single seagull doesn't exactly scream lonely to me. Nice composition though.

I'm not sure this is backlit as much as side lit (look at the kids shadow)

Nice shot good mood, to me this is backlight IMO

I first thought it was very noisy, but I think it's a scanned photo that has been pushed a little too far.
