I think you're right, but enforcement is low. Too bad.
A stupid and dangerous habit. Takes approximately 14 extra feet (4m) to stop when drunk. Takes approximately an extra 72 feet (23m) to stop when texting!!!!!!!! We hate drunk drivers, but somehow wink and nod at texting. It is now illegal to text while driving in 39 of the 50 states in the US. I guess the other 11 are just stupid.
i heard it was illegal to text while walking also in new jersey
