Actually has less to do with having a nice camera and more to do with a good set of glass and a sturdy tripod...

You must have a really nice tripod then, lol. But at my highest zoom I wouldn't even get close to how close you got = )

The tripod is a Manfrotto 550x series with a RC322 pistol grip head, very decent set-up for about $450... and the glass was a 500mm + 2x teleconverter for an effective 1600mm or about 65x zoom...

Something tells me I already know who you are...

Not wishing to be difficult, but the guidelines are looking for something more specific than just drops like this I think. An excellent capture other than that!
