I think this would be better if you increased the contrast and lightened it a little. Is the slight purple tint on purpose?

Great idea. Wish I could draw that well. My one little quibble might be that the drawing is in black and the pencil is blue.

Converting to B&W will get rid of the colour cast and the blue pencil wont look odd
