Yes, each petal of the flower is one shell, hand made with glue...so are many many shells in one flower.

This work is done by a poor community, where small shells brought by sea are washed, glued one by one to form the flower and placed a wire cable. It is mostly done by the women of the fishing community and is a way to increase family income with something that is given free by the sea.
