I think it would be more according to 'rule of third' if you crop some off the top.

when using my crop tool, a horizontal and vertical grid automatically appears which confirms your advice exactly. thanks for the call.

It's kind of lost in the background.
I kind of like the back ground but I will do some new shoots today and see how they turn out. As always, thank you for your input!
Photo changed. Hope this is a bit better. Thx again friiskiwi.
A much prettier photo, Highlights a little blown. I would crop out the bottom flowers as they are a little soft and they are too light, it would also make for a more balanced image IMO.
This is not a vine. This is the common house plant called the Spider Plant. Which also grows very well outdoors in frost free areas.Spider plants are botanically known as Chlorophytum comosum. What you see are not vines they are called runners.
As a photo i agree with friiskiwi about the highlights. But knowing this plant well and knowing it has a wild and woolly growing habit i think you have captured the essence of this plant very well.
According to this site http://www.fernlea.com/vines/spiderplant.html the spider plant is classified as a vine. So I'd say this is on topic.
It is a nice photo. Aside from the blown highlights (which doesn't really bug me in this shot anyway) it gives a nice take on the vine subject while remaining subtle and quaint. Good work!
Thank you all for your input. @ Angloaussiekiwi, I made sure to research the spider plant to ensure it was actually a vine because I wasn't sure either.
I'll try the crop and see how it looks although I have a feeling that I won't like it much. I have a pet peeve about subjects being cut off in photo. LOL
Edit: made the change.
I think this is better.
Thx friiskiwi! You are always so helpful, much appreciated!
