It is HDR and I agree with both of you. There's a difficult line for balancing the effect and I this worked pretty well. I also tried more cropping but for instance omitting the name of the bar and the window air conditioners reduced the 'real' street feeling.

My husband playing with my new snowboard. Fell in love with the board when I saw the Ralph Steadman art on it. If you're a fan check it out in HiRes. Glad it was a cold day so he was wearing the warm weather coat. The camera is a point and shoot so the image isn't that high quality. I will not take my good camera snowboarding.
