This is the southern entrance to Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Shown at low tide, the automated light guides all types of vessels into this busy harbour. It is situated on (appropriately named) Protection Island. (5 years and 2486 days ago)
I wonder if you could crop this so that the lighthouse doesn't sit quite so much in the middle of the picture ?
