In my opinion,the photo would have had much greater impact (for this contest anyway) if the background trees were cropped away, leaving her more prominent in a tangle of twisted wood. Very beautiful photo of a very beautiful girl.

No, the gray areas perhaps, are caused by the shadows caused by the shape of this unusual shell. It's not smooth... Below I used cotton.
