Overall technically correct, but the halter in the plane of focus is a little distracting as well as the framing could be improved.

Taken five and a half years ago, when our lovely mare Connie was only 3 days old, and it was the first time she had seen the dam. (5 years and 2417 days ago)
She's so cute and I'm glad you said she was 3 days old. Was a little worried about her weight but I know she is well taken care of
LOL, they all look like that when first born, but it does not take long to fill out that little body, and then they have to grow into those long legs.
Well I am commin out to ride!! Be prepared

I made sure to get the background (including the man in the distance) out of focus and retain clarity for the horse. (5 years and 2417 days ago)
The background is not that distracting, as you did a good job at have a narrow depth of field; however, the image may have been improve by shooting more on the horses eye level.
