Interesting history, I would have used this photo in mementos.
Thank you, good friski! The entire room (a parlor actually,) looks more like a museum, hehe!

This is a series of swords belonging to some glorious (well, according to historians,) ancestors of mine, among them an admiral, a prime minister also an oceanographer. The one with the letter O etched on the hilt is a replica of the sword presented to the admiral by King Otto of… …against services rendered to the royal household by the former. The original was adorned with precious stones, and for obvious reasons I… just wish I had it.
Photographing those babies proved to be an extremely difficult task, as the lighting in the room was anything but ideal. Therefore I had to either get some extra lights, or take down the entire coat (it’s huge!)and set it in some other place of the house with better lighting- a very risky affair, as the scabbards are worn and brittle owing to decay.

Very cool. I'd love to have something like that. I think my ancestors fought with cream pies to the face!
Thank you, good kyri.

This is a very humble flat grave plaque for Golfer Payne Stewart, winner of 11 PGA championships who died in a leased Learjet that had lost it's cabin pressure.Everyone including the pilots had passed out while the jet flew on auto pilot till fuel ran out and the jet crashed. Several golf balls were scattered around the area.

I can't quite make up my mind if I want this shot rotated or not, but at least it made me look at if for a long time.
I shot this in a horizontal position, but rotated it. I had the same problem as you. I think it works best as is.

Love to see the sbs for this, the set up looks very creative.
I believe the contest is for a home "dinner" and not a "humble" feast
Believe it or not this dinner cost only 20 euros....that's why I name it "humble".
Everything looks perfect in your picture, but for me, something is missing : just a little bit color to make this diner more appetizing.
looks like something from LOTR or the Hobbit
Congratz! Absolute winner!
Btw: when can i come over for dinner?
congratulations, very powerful image!
