govind....if you check the hi rez, her face and upper body are in focus as that was the area of focus, you can even make out the water drops on her upper arm
Ouch.
Ya author....Thats's whay i was saying. Her arms are in motion...her legs are also in motion...Only her right upper arm is in focus....overall the pic is a little oof....sorry if that hurt you....
No govind...you didn't hurt my feelings, I just didn't know if you did see the areas of focus. I was panning a shooting a falling, spinning subject and this is how it turned out. the background is oof because of the f/stop had to be widened a bit for a higher shutter speed.
Shame that you horizons are crooked. Nice try... ouch for that landing.
Normally I wouldn't submit something with crooked horizions such as a landscape, however, in this case I felt it added to the off-balance and out of control feeling of the falling subject.
I don't know why people keep getting hung up on horizons and angles all the time...sometimes an angle can add something to the shot, and make it work!!!
@Ade...yes, I know what you're getting at and I agree, I mean if the horizion is a bit off and it's obvious that the camera was just held a bit crooked; yep, straighten it. But, if the angle is more leaning to the 30+ degree off, it's probably more like the author intends it to be ascew for impact or other artistic purposes.
very graceful... truly poetry in motion
Oh yes, how true! and this is the daughter that wanted to try out for the diving team...I'm not too certain she's gunna make the cut...

Ahh, and no alterations were made, including resizing. No way to do that retroactively is there?
