I have these little holes all around my yard where there is no grass. Have no idea what they are from. (5 years and 3170 days ago)
Don't know what kind of climate you live in... but they look like "Ant Lion" holes
I live in NE Florida. Ants does make sence.
Not ants, "Ant Lions." But yes, they are all over Florida. Ant Lions hunt and eat ants. They dig those funnel like shapes in the sand and bury themselves under the sand at the bottom. The ant falls in but when it tries to climb out the sand collapses and draws them down to the waiting Ant Lion's jaws. If you have kids, don't let them play in the sand there. Ant Lion's bites aren't deadly or anything, but they will cause an itchy rash all over their body. I grew up in Florida, this is the voice of experience speaking!
Ohhhhh, gotcha! I will have to look those up. Been here all my life and never heard of them. Thanks for the education!
