beautiful , wonderful capture very well done , but just IMO , i think the moon is a very little bit blown out

avatar adeincyprus

the moon is a little bright, you are losing detail because of this.

wow... this kid looks A LOT like my nephew... (before he chopped off all his hair and joined the Navy).

Like the title too.

author says:

thank you! huge pink floyd fan. and with all the bricks behind him...i couldn't resist.

avatar UncleJimmy

nicely done...the wide angle distortion is just enough to create a good image.

avatar adeincyprus

excellent work............well done author, I agree with the distortion comment, it makes the shot!!

Using the same girl in 2 photos is likely to have the mods removing both. Especially when you upload them one after the other.

Composition is off... heads cropped off, elbow cropped off... nope... did not do it for me...

avatar adeincyprus

focus is off, and composition could be better, especially as it is a 'posed' shot. Also, if you turn a picture round, make sure there is no tell tale writing to give it away.............

avatar UncleJimmy

agree with all above comments...needs a bit of basic work here...GL

avatar Lamantine

i find it a little blurry...

avatar dollmommy
dollmommy says:

Looks too much like a snapshot, not a photo. Too much background distractions and very oof. Give suggestions from others a chance when composing your next shot, would help you improve in what you obviously enjoy. Good luck.

She could be more in the frame... the idea is pretty cool... but the missing foot and the cut out hair kind of compromise the image!

avatar friiskiwi
friiskiwi says:

have to agree with mperri, but great try.

author says:

The problem with that shot was that, in order to catch the movement of the hair, I spontaneously turned the camera a bit, so it's kind of "leaning"... So I had to decide whether to correct the axis and cut out some details, or keep the details of the hair and leave the picture "leaning"... After having read the comments, I realized that keeping the hair and the part of the foot in, is probably more important. Hope it is better now! Thanks for the comments anyway!!! I appreciate them!

avatar mperri
mperri says:

Much better now... still, there is one foot cropped off... As I said, I love the idea of the shot, but I am a little ticked off by accidental crops...
BTW, I actually like the angulation...

avatar UncleJimmy

agree...the angle (or lean) is fine, it actually works in favor of the composition here, it's the cropping problem...in the future just be certain to double check the image in the view finder especially at the edges for accidental cropping...otherwise a great idea

Interesting shot but feels more like a caught off guard photo rather than a posed shot. Good luck to you though.
