Was he shot through fence/bars - it looks a little soft across the top of his mane and across his nose but I like how you have managed to rid the fence or whatever it is - good job on this most handsome pussy cat

Yes...this was actually shot through chain-link fence. It's taken from a small private zoo, so the enclosure isn't anything like a big public zoo. I'm not too sure how great about 2m tall chain link is about keeping full grown lions at bay...but as far as I know...no small children have gone missing lately

Yep, a private zoo...ran by an acquaintance of mine. Occasionally, when some of the larger animals are feeling more docile, I am permitted to enter the enclosures (at my own risk of course) and get some very stunning shots without any bars or fence in the way...however, this particular Lion is known for being a tad unpredictable... so,.
