You should avoid taking pictures like this when the light is in front, it can really blow out the shot. Try to keep the light behind you. Just cropping out the light above would have greatly improved this shot.
It should be cropped. It was a rookie mistake to be sure. I just ran a cross it from a bit of old work I did and threw it together and up fast. Hope you won't hold it against me too much.
