Lovely shot, but looks more posed, than relaxed.

I dont pose people!
I have to agree with friiskiwi, this doesn't look very relaxed to me, it actually looks quite uncomfortable, and like she will fall backwards any moment.
I have to disagree-I was there shooting the model-she leaned back to wet here hair and cool off, now that is relaxing when you are working in the heat!
Being on theme is a matter of opinion and I don't see this as off theme. But don't tell me you think the damage to the left side of the image makes it more artistic like noise does? Looks like an old photo that was damaged or maybe damage to your negative. You're going to defend film no matter what, aren't you?
I just think this image would have looked nicer if you fixed a few of the blemishes. (healing brush)But that's also IMO...
Jawshoewhah,....... YOU NEED TO RELAX!
film??

I was out hiking recently and shooting landscapes and I came across this old truck in the woods. Certainly not what I expected to find while out taking shots of lakes and streams! (5 years and 3464 days ago)
Great shot, but perhaps showing some more of the surrounding would show it's out of place better.
agree with friiskiwi
I agree............ I am also curious as to what filter you used here, the truck itself looks almost HDR!
This was on a rainy foggy day, the rain had let up a bit when I took this, but you can see that the tires are wet. I used a polarizing filter to cut through the fog. The reason for the HDR look is that the truck is predominately red and orange so I played with the luminosity levels of those channels to lighten the truck overall then I added a bit of fill to brighten the darker areas. I also agree with the statements about having more of the surrounding area, I actually contemplated whether or I should put this in because of that. Since this was shot a few weeks ago and not with this contest in mind I cropped it down to take out the fallen tree that you can see the top of in the left side of the frame. But I figured there was enough foliage growing up over and around it that it should be ok.
Author, I rather like the HDR quality of the shot and have to say it's a good entry, although it could be argued about the surroundings, I believe it to be an excellent photo and on topic...well done
it's a great shot, and thanx for the info............good luck.
Nice find - I like the treatment you have given it

This looks like a nice photo, but without a High Res, its hard to tell, what we see here has been down sampled to 600px x 400px. So is not showing at the best quality. You can change this;

Also save full resolution image.
Your image doesn't need to be enormous, anything between 2.5mg and 3.5mg is plenty big enough.
Good luck
Thanks, done!
Nice image. I guess it will look even better when you crop the image at the top.
