This photo does nothing for me in this size, so I was hoping it would look really great in the High Res, sometimes the difference is quite amazing. I was really disappointed to find there wasn't a high res.

This photo has such a quiet and peaceful feel to it, mood wise. But the overall composition is somewhat boring, with the trees all the same basic height, and the symmetrical positioning, with the horizon line of the lake bisecting the photo almost directly in the middle. Too much was cropped off the top, so that the trees on the right look incomplete, and the darks on either side command the eye to the center of the image, where there is essentially nothing visually happening. If you cropped the right hand side, so that the brighter green was the "border," and took some of the bottom off, moving the horizon line from the "target center," it would help this visually, by making the eye move a bit more, and the lovely little golden leaves on the right would have more of an impact.
The strong light on the treetops & background really make this shot, and in this case I think the symmetry adds to it. Great image.
Thnaks for the High Res, does look much better, when you can get a good look at it.

Very pretty. I'd like to live in a place like that. (I like the tiny parachuter near the left)
Fabulous !!!
Thanks kyricom, in the high res you can see the boat towing it, and further to the right (almost in the middle), what first loks a bit like a black smudge, is actually smoke from a steamer that travels on the lake.
Wow, it looks great and the houses at the right side add the interests on the photograph Well done
congratulations

The colour of the lake is really that colour.
The amazing turquoise blue colour of Lake Tekapo is created by "rock flour": the glaciers in the headwaters grind the rock into fine dust. These suspended particles in combination with the sunlight create Lake Tekapo's unique water colour. (5 years and 2928 days ago)
Amazing!
I like the colors .. Nice shot!
Stunning
Very nice... I think the overcast sky helps juxtapose the amazing color of the water
If I had to go this road, I would have a stiff neck looking at the side all the time ! Beautifull spot ! (and picture of course !)
I was luckier than that, the pano is taken from the deck of the cottage we stayed in.
Lovely colour and it really expresses the serenity of this panorama. Love the snowy mountain especially as a panoramic image. Well done
Thanks for the nice comments and the Fav's it really is a magic place.
