Chinese lanterns can be any color, but red is traditionally used in conjunction with other colors. Each color has its own meaning, but meanings can change depending on the context. Red represents happiness and good luck; white, purity, old age and wisdom. Yellow and gold represent the first emperor, but also earth and mourning. Blue is associated with immortality, while black stands for honesty as well as death or misfortune.

These lanterns are fueled with kerosene. Use before the introduction of electricity in the village.
Today are fully functional. (5 years and 2818 days ago)

Some cropping to put more focus on the lamps would be good, IMO.

Thank you, friiskiwi!
I wanted a bit of atmosphere ... I am ready and a variant (different picture) that appear only lanterns ... I finally decided to do this.

Fair enough, just a suggestion

C entered subjects work well for some images, though with the dead space on the right and (trash can?), lid on the left, a slightly tighter cropping showing saw blade, hay, and lanterns would have worked better for my liking. Nice photo just the same, and since you've decided not to edit further, I'll vote now.
