My job was working on towers and poles.
I got to the top of this one many times.
Thank you for your comments

Nice capture...... but this doesn't look like a power pole. Those lines look more like stay lines for support. This looks more like a radio/comm tower type. Am I wrong author? Kinda off theme?

author says:

"Some tower hundreds of feet while others are just your local telephone line. In Authors description."
I say this is not off-topic, those are guy wires and there is plenty of power running up this tower. IMO thanks for the comments

Not trying to start an argument... but the power is going TO the pole for the pole... not for distribution. I think the author's suggestion meant the size of the pole... not an actual telephone pole. Mods problem... not mine. Nice pic though.

author says:

Then why are you commenting? The power is coming from a pole directly and attached to this tower. Your interpretation is yours and I will not argue that you think off theme. BTW most of the entries are utility poles, a few transmission lines, distribution and secondary.
I did this ' lineman' for most of my adult life so I have a different understanding of power, communication, CATV, microwave infrastructures. The power is not to the pole for the pole it is for the people. All these things are on the poles towers ect. Some of these entries are telephone lines only. Can you tell the difference? Or which ones are fiber optics or power only or joint usage utility poles or telegraph with the top 2 wires power.
Enough said if the Mods think off theme then remove it.

@ captgeo, from the comment guidelines : " 3.7: Don't comment on 'administrative' issues of the entry (such as being off-topic for example), but raise a red flag instead. "
it seems to be on topic for me

seems to me as if we are all getting a bit overly picky on entries. to me, this is exactly what the contest is asking for, even if its not technically "supplying" power...it is EXACTLY what the contest conditions describe.

Than you all for your comments
