When taking shots underwater, the water soaks up certain colours and the deeper you go the worse it becomes. That is why it looks as though you have a colour filter on. You can easily bring back the true colours using colour balance on photoshop. You will be amazed how much better the photo can look in seconds. This is essentially what underwater mode does on cameras anyway so it certainly is not cheating. Give it a try.
remember though author, any changes you make, must affect the whole shot, not just selective parts of it.

Apparently, we're not quite as modern as a lot of you. The little red bells hanging from the lights were put there one christmas about ten years ago when my oldest son was finally able to reach it. (5 years and 3549 days ago)

nice effort.............framing could have been better.
The picture is cool and 100% on theme... but I am with Ade here... I have already said it somewhere that I am not a fan of accidental body extremity crops, unless it is inevitable, which here, considering the subject is stationary, it could have been avoided...
