I think the contest explanation says " anything that has a line of sorts that will help to draw the eye in and along it." and "past the scene and out of the photo." I believe these kite lines accomplish both statements. And thank you Friiskiwi..the image can also infer the kite and the lines returning to the individual.

This was a lucky day when I found this little fella. That is actually a blade of grass he/she is holding onto. Got my knees dirty for this one :) (5 years and 2998 days ago)

The subject and composition are nice, but I think the harsh lighting detracts from the image.
I really like the shadows but figured most here wouldn't care for it much. I am considering re-shooting, after all this is about winning not necessarily what I like.
