Frog on a statue (5 years and 3110 days ago)
I had thought of this too, but there was something about nothing you can eat? and I guess you can still scrape it up and eat it?

I think this one fits, because the goal says: 'One exception: you can not eat the object'. In this context, it means: it is not allowed to eat the object.
I'm with friiskiwi... I was going to do this shot, but didn't because you can obviously eat eggs. Nice shot, though
As suggester of this theme: IMHO this entry is on theme, the purpose of mentioning the food was that it didn't got eaten (as stated), disallowing using food however was never my intention AND was not stated in the description.
spot on Author
Oh Nooooooooooo....not the egg. nice job Hi Res looks great.
No, sorry... "as stated" - "you can not eat the object." That phrase changed a lot of potential entries. Absolutely none of the other ones have anything edible. You can obviously eat an egg. Sorry, author, this one shouldn't be allowed either
I think there is difference between 'you can not eat the object' and 'the object can not be edible'. The first phrase - what was used in the contest description - allows to use food as an object, but the second photo can not be the result of preparing or starting to eat the food. For example, an egg+omelet would be definitely off theme. The author simply dropped the egg to the ground and it was smashed. And yes, you can obviously eat an egg, but not the egg what was used as object in this case. I don't think the author licked up the smashed egg from the ground.
I like like carousel's rebuttal
What a creative shot! very nice work here
LOL i thought this was deleted. As to the eating, i read it as you cannot destroy the object by eating it. @carousel, nope i didnt eat it, though i a partial to dirt and stones every now and then. LOL

This entry made me almost loose my mind. In case anyone wonders, how it was done, it's pretty simple: I opened the PXL logo on my computer screen and mirrored it. The harder part was to hold the camera without a tripod in the tiny little right angle, so I get the whole reflection on it, without any letters missing. I took around 1000 pictures, to get in the end 3 shots that were halfway acceptable.
I know, that this one could have been better too, but I am happy with it anyway. Mainly just because I didn't give up after the first 500 ;) (5 years and 3131 days ago)
Great, and you answered all the questions I was going to ask.
Excellent! Very impressive - your patience paid off!
Great Job author...I was trying to accomplish this same effect...unsuccessfully I might add. Well done. and well worth all the effort.

Thanks a lot for all your great comments!
@MnMCarta: a bit more detailed explanation for you
Like I said, I opened the PXL logo, made the white background black (so the background didn't show in my eye, the white background would have been visible) and mirrored it. I made it full screen then, so the whole logo was on the screen. Then I sat (very uncomfortable, if I may add that) about 10 cm away from my screen, so I got the reflection as big as possible. I had the lense directly next to my eye pressed against my temple (I hope that's the right word for it) to make it a bit more stable and to get as close to my eye as possible. The problem then was to hold the camera in an angle where the whole logo reflects. A bit too far with the lense towards my eye ended in a "XL" reflection or a "PX", because the lense covered the part of that reflection. So it was pretty complicated (at least for me) to get the whole logo on my pupil, with the pupil is in focus. (If I would have wanted a shot with just my eyelashes in focus, I would have had a huge collection )
Great job. I would see SBS ,
