Awesome!!
Look closely at the label in high resolution and you can see these were for the "Victor Talking Machine Co." - patented in 1903. These were some of the earliest "platter style" records. The side with the label showing looks fairly normal, but the other one is turned over so you can see that they were only pressed on one side. (5 years and 3212 days ago)
Awesome!!
One side printed... reminds me of the first 12 inches and the bootlegs
Those are more of my time, but each his-her own childhood memories...
Well... I AM over 18 now... but wasn't really around in 1903!
^ neither was I ! lol great shot

Um, no offence author, but usually when you take a shot like this, it just lacks the artistic point of view. A photo like this is more like documenting, as is you were gathering evidence for a crime scene. My suggestion is try re-shooting but do it from different angles.
Once again author, I'm not trying to discredit you but suggest a better way to make the subject more artistic. GL!
Dead right, jaws! Altogether flat and insignificant! I just took the pain of going downtown and having this thing photographed, then stupidly enough I thought it wise to upload it here. What's fair, is fair
Ok, so this time, go back downtown (not today but whenever) and this time try to get a focus on a slot at different angles. Shoot looking up. Shoot looking down. Try to focus your subject to the left or right of the frame and create a rule of 1/3rds would be a good idea too, especially if you can get people in the background actually using the machines. I just figure, if you are down there, you mine as well shoot it at every angle you can think of.
Still holding my vote. GL!
OK, I'll give it a try, providing the convenience store lady won't chase me away.
Good advice! I know I have been helped tremendously by advice from Jaws and others on this site.
cool shot author...gl

Great shot, but isn'y it more of an implement than a machine.
