Yes i see it and like it but i would really like any advise as to how to get rid of it in processing. I have a farm shot that is in color but has the same issue. Any help is greatly appreciated that does not involve ps so it is legal in these contests. Thank you.

Author - perhaps you can try the 'strength' slider and drop it down to where the halos disappear. That's the only thing I can think of - like the alumiium texture too.

This one wasn't used or if it ws I removed it because it was before I knew about the animity rule but I will never forget that contest cause it was my first to get me points to see any level change Glad you remembered!

I was going to say it is familiar because it reminds me of my college days :p Well what I can remember of them anyway.

As far as similarities I have seen photos that are more similar in the same contest and remain. I only was able to work out the similarity after I voted and found out who it was. Nice image BTW.
