You image appears to have a vignette, I also feel you have lost too much detail in the shadows.
Thank you, your're right about the blacks they are crushed. I will try to fix that. As for the vignette it gets more pronounced when I crank up the contrast. (I think its also because of the wide end of the 18-55mm and the fact that its HDR. I'll upload a slightly more conservative image and see if it any better.

Beautiful love how you caught the bird. Where was it taken?
Glacier bay Alaska, from my cruise ship balcony. One handed shot with some food in the other to coax him closer, lol.
Nice sharp image of the bird (bit DOF) could work as a source because there's not that many good sources of a bird in flight.
