Gud idea & effort. Lovely.
Used the candle's own light to make it appear from the dark. To make the candle seem more like out of the dark I slight blew some air on the flame so that it moved. (5 years and 3584 days ago)
Gud idea & effort. Lovely.
Thank you very much.
It's so simple yet so well focused. GL!
Thank you. I had very hard time focusing as the auto-focus didn't really work in the dark nor could I really use my tripop becaus my new camera and lens are simply too heavy for it. It makes me really happy to hear that I managed to get it done nicely after all those tries.
Here's a tip.Turn your focus to manual & with the lights on , focus on the fuse of the candle.Spot metering (so the camera gets light from the flame when you turn the lights off & you will have high shutter speed to "freeze" the flame)Turn the lights off & here you are...Try it & you will see that it's easy....
karaflazz, I did basically what you said. I did use manual focusing because the autofocus didn't really work and spot metering as well. Though, I didn't use the high shutter speed because I didn't want the flame to freeze totally(this way the flame appears little bigger than it actually is because of the movement). The biggest issue with this picture was that I couldn't use the tripod, which made the focusing little hard.

I have trouble relating this to the topic
Looks like Aeolus bought himself an outboard, heh heh!
You caught the wind with an outboard motor? You should have at least straitened the horizon. I don't feel it's on theme, sorry.
agree with the above...having trouble seeing how this relates to topic???

Didn't you notice how aircraft moves through the sky without any sound? Reminds me about childhood years, when I could watch the sky, and don't think about anything else. (5 years and 3654 days ago)
