I went outside at midnight to get this shot because snow is just not lasting too long in my town. (5 years and 3004 days ago)
Lovely...were it just a bit sharper, this would be a "super-shot"...I love the contrast and the composition...wonderful entry author...well done
Thank You!!!! I am still working on my night photo techniques. This new camera is amazing but I still have to figure out how to use it well.
Keep working on it, you are doing well,What kind of camera have you got?
Thank You!!!! A Nikon D5100.

Beautiful, great detail
The two legs of the wheel look like the hands of a clock. Great balance of high and low structures; if only the building behind the wheel is not there.
Congrats on 1st place
Congratulations!

Very pretty... it bums me out that I now live in a place with too much light pollution to get nice star shots
I'm with kyricom in my jealousy, but am more curious as to your camera settings to get such a gorgeous shot.
great night sky
Thank you erveryone! The settings were the following:
ISO 6400
30 s. (hence the little lines instead of dots for the stars)
F/4 (18 mm)
