awesome !
in the hi res, there are some strange lines and marks to the left of the corner point, also, I would have thought that the 'halo' at the corner would have been stronger and darker, like an 'eclipse' effect
Aden i think your right. Sky has an odd wrinkle in it to the left .
i think the first think we need to question, where is the lens flare???
also, if the sun were being looked at from the angle in this shot, then the corner of the building it is behind would be much darker, almost sihouette!
ade, this picture was hdr'ed (very good done). i think we should be on focus about the lens flare topic.
Just a question.... I guess it is okay to enter an HDR photo in any contest as long as it is on theme?
I personally cqan't see why HDR is unacceptable as long as it's on theme - it's a widely accepted form, but in this case I can see no lens flare
personally, hdr'ed photo is ok as long it still keep the originality (just like this one)..
the originality is not still in this one imo.........the halo / eclipse effect of th esun behind the building is lost.......there should be some major shadow effect under the blue overhang, not bright blue like it is..........it should appear as silhouette. Just hold you hand in front of a bright light and look at it, an dsee if it is the same out of the light, the color will change as it comes out of the light!
Actually this is not an hdr shot. If it was the clouds would be softer. As to the shadows under the overhang...across the street from this building is a 40 story skyscraper that has "mirror" windows that basically acted like a huge light mat which is why the entire building is lighted. The overhang is a see-through blue material. No shadows is actually what caught my eye in the first place.
There's some flare there it's just really subtle.
