The violence of the surf this day was astonishing. Ano Nuevo is one of my favorite places to shoot. (5 years and 2973 days ago)

The fact that you have 3 photos and described them as being taken all at the same place destroys the anonymity - just something to keep in mind when you are writing your description in

Lovely rocks, but a couple of suggestions, try using curves to lighten the rocks a little to bring back details in the shadows, but don't lighten the sky, a bit more detail would be great there too. Also the horizon needs straightening, and I'd crop some of the sky, at the moment the horizon is in the middle, crop so the sky take up only 1/3 of the image.
Thank you Friiskiwi. I worked on it a bit. The curves aren't something I have worked with much but I think I was able to bring out more detail in the rocks. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Awesome shot, if you bring out the colours a bit you have a winner
Very nice. You might crop a bit from the left and the bottom so the subject isn't so centered
Author, did you Photoshop this image?
No I did not, I did a light edit, but the photo is pretty much as shot the surfer is one of my nephew's friends
To kyricom thanks for the compliment. As to the crop on these type of surf shots I prefer to keep the surfer at center and keep as much of the wave in the shot as possible The violence of the wave and the surf that day was to me the essence of the photo.
