Are you using a dedicated macro lens or are you cropping down?

Nah macro lenses are too expensive for someone like me . +4 Hoya Close up lens on a 70-210mm lens (I think I was at 210...), this photo was not cropped. I kinda wished I had it a bit lower though.
ahhh ok, that would account for it being a bit soft. Still a great capture though. You also have a bit of motion blur on the drop itself, what was the power setting on your flash?
Oh I do my water droplets quite differently than normal. I set my camera to 1 second exposure and then I use an old external flash (Minolta Auto 200x) to manually flash (so like the test button). Its a hassle to set up (and to press 2 buttons in a certain order) but I liked the results so far and it allows me to control where my flash is. My power setting for my flash is at low since I can adjust how bright my image is by simply bring my flash farther or closer to the subject and it saves power (and faster recyclinng time!).

great shot!
Interesting building - is it HDR?
Yes HDR and an amazing looking building
I'm not a great fan of architectural photography, But this is just so cool. So many elements in it.
Don't want to break anonymity rules. Can you PM me with where this is please.
This is intense!
I didn't participate in this contest and therefore didn't see this one. Wow! So many good things about this image. Really wonderful.

Nice photograph of a bottle, but I fear something has been lost in the translation, what has it got to do with relaxing?
The horizon could also do with some straightening.
the cloudy backdrop and the bottle covered with raindrops is a symbolization of freshness.
Nice shot....

interesting effect, almost like a painting. how did you achieve this? Filter or noise reduction?
thanks friiskiwi! Neither filter or noise reduction. I just took the picture with my Nikon CoolPix L110, added some contrast and saturation in Windows Photo Gallery. I just got lucky!
Thanks, it's really pretty.
Nice... might crop just a little from the left to de-center and emphasis length
Thx! Done.
Looks nice. GL

It is a nice photo, but to use it as and example of calmness in Nature, I would have prefer ed a flower without blemishes.
