Wow, this is stunning.
I used the curves twice for this image. The first to lighten and bring out the image, and secondly for the finished image. (5 years and 3162 days ago)

It is a photo of an old photo framed. I was out of station and returning home on saturday when i went to a sweet shop to purchase some sweets for home. I took the snap of this photograph which was originally taken on 26th January 1947. The shop is very famous for sweets since then. Luckily, it was a saturday and i clicked this snap at 3 pm. You could use lens correction to correct the distortion of the lens so the frame of the picture looks a little more nice!!!.Great story tho.
Thanx for the advice karaflazz but i dont know how to do that?
the flash really hurt this picture in my opinion. try pictures without flash or put a piece of paper over the flash so it softens it. see the bright spot in the middle top?
Well k5683 it was not flash...there was a spotlight on this photograph in the shop...I didnt use any other external source of light and hence the picture is like this. So bad that i finished last....
Ohhh, I see...like the ones that are right over top of them.

I'd like to sit there at sunset (or sunrise, depending on which way we're facing)
This could be so lovely, just wish you hadn't cropped the top of the chairs.
Hey, kyri, you're most welcome, my friend, and you know it.
No, friiski, I haven't cropped the top of the chairs. It's just that the horizon looks so... gray and lifeless. I only wish I could forward to you the image in color.
Thanks, but you better be careful... I may take you up on thsat someday!
You are quite right, sorry about that. Goes to show how different a photo can look depending on your height. Would love to see a colour copy, vibeke@friis.co.nz.
