Quite a collection, are they all yours?
Yes, they are. Actually, this is only part of my collection. Most of them were passed down from a great uncle to my father, who then passed them down to me.
Nice Shot...wonder if that is a Karl Zeiss lens used by Sony today
I don't think the present digital generation realise the sheer joy of fiddling with all the controls, and the pride and satisfaction you get when you got it right --- after the print comes back from the lab a week later.
I agree. I used to love working in the darkroom! It was my favorite part of the process.
That's a lot of other cameras
Nowadays the computer IS the darkroom. I get as much pleasure from tweaking my photos as I do from taking them. You don't need a whole room full of chemicals and the results are just as rewarding. Maybe more, with the great improvements of camera technology and computer software. Those who disdain the computer steps are the same as those who would be happy with a polaroid picture or don't know how to use the software. Just a vent to those who wish that they were still taking rolls of film to be processed somewhere in the near future.
PS: Great collection of old cameras.
Thanks. And I do agree that the computer is today's darkroom and I too, get just as much joy from processing as I do taking the photos. However, I did very much enjoy the darkroom. But when a darkroom wasn't available, I didn't like handing over my work to someone else to develop. They never got it the way I wanted it. But now I have all the control!!!
You're welcome! And thank YOU!!

Old indeed, is it also an old photo? As this is not at all like your usually excellent photos.
Ouch ... You really did not like the photo right?
But you're right, I can not say it's one of my best ... Sometimes the desire to participate in a contest without having something better in hand we end just putting anything ... Happens ...
The first sewing machine from my mother, was also pedal .... his mark was "Vigorelli". Today also would be part of a museum. Your photo made me remember it.
Thanks...
