There's not a lot of sand in this picture for a "sandy beach" contest ...
Well, 1/3 of this picture is wet sand. Some participants have even less =) And anyway contest rules say "sandy beach", not "sand on the beach".
I totally agree with Artifakts!
Chrys Rizzo, i appreciate your opinion a lot, but i followed the theme: photo shows us part of a beach, and it is sandy beach, you can see the sand there. There wasn't specified that focus should be on the sand, not on the water or sky or people. Ofc if contest moderator thinks same as you, I will remove my shot, no problem here.
Dear author, is not my intention you remove the photo. My only good intention was to told you what I saw and a "little" learning about photos. I learned that when some theme should be followed, 2/3 of the photo should be about the main subject (in case sand) . Good luck and do not be angry, my intention was only a good one!
Oh I'm not angry at all, sorry if I made you think so. I read all the rules very thoroughly, and I'm sharing with you my opinion aswell, trying to show you the difference between "sand on the beach" and "sandy beach". In some contests, you know, it is said: "just one thing", or "focus should be on this object". And there is nothing about it. I saw you leaving comments to many participants, and i think that in this situation, when so many people misunderstood the goal in your eyes, maybe could be more effective to make a correction in the contest description?
And again, about 2/3, it should be at least 2/3 sandy beach! And it is
sandy is an adjective that describes the noun beach, right? Well, with that said, then sandy just describes what type of beach we should take pictures of. BEACH being the main focus of the theme....and I believe the author shows a beach here, and it looks like a sandy beach to me.
Yes, that is what I was trying to explain with my poor English. Thank you =)
I like the graduated lines of the shot, and the low angles. Nicely done.

This photo was taken with an old analog camera (Zenit) and the film caught a little light. So there was no post processing done on this picture nor did I use photoshop. (5 years and 2472 days ago)
I'm not sure why you would submit it then. I believe that you are misinterpreting the goal. It is not to show an old, burnt out photo, but to show a good photo of a vintage object.
It says "Whether it be coloration / processing, automobiles, wine, clothing or some other interpretation, take a photograph that communicates "Vintage" "
"Whether it be the coloration" and in this case it is the coloration that is vintage.
how is this photo here? is it vintage? reviewers pl look at it

Nice picture but I think the animals are lost in all the vegetables textures.
Perhaps, but that is the way of nature, to me this is better than close-ups in zoos to avoid fences.

Dear author, in my screen the main flower is too dark, perhaps it's only here... just a opinion! GL
Agree with Chrys. Excellent subject composition, but boosting the brightness/contrast a bit would've brought out better detail.
