love the light
I has a full length bat shot but wanted the natural wood grain for the entry.
First Louisville Slugger baseball bat was made in 1884 and are still made today of both Ash and Maple. Babe Ruth used a 34 inch Louisville Slugger. This is a number 6 or 9 whatever that means. (5 years and 2650 days ago)

Don't know how I feel about this,,the idea was great, just the lighting doesn't seem right with the apple casting a hard shadow from what appears to be a direct flash? The leaf also seems kind of tacky the way it was placed.
The leaf can't be photoshopped in + men should never shave (or, is it a leaf put over a photograph - which would be ok for this theme?)
So xogx2002...you suggest that i should re-shot his with a soft box to reduce the strength of light?
That the apple should be more visible than it is now?
The leaf should be lifted a little bit more?
I place the leaf "there" with the help of some glue.I use a strobe light with an umbrella to light the model.
I wanted to give the meaning of "first sin" with the minimum elements so the focus is on the leaf (witch is the contests goal).
Any suggestions for improvement are most well come my friend...just say it & i would be glad to re-shot it.
lÃtur út eins og bara ég kæri gamall móður
I really like the idea behind this, great original thought. As far as possible improvements go a softbox may help a bit, but I would suggest perhaps moving the light a tiny bit more towards the front of the model so that the light isn't so specular and hard. Also move the leaf up and to the right a bit to cover the unsightly razor bumps. As far as the apple goes, maybe turn the wrist in a bit so it isn't at such an unnatural angle. Maybe add a smaller light or a reflector to open the shadows a bit.
RIPSAW : I really don't understand a word you wrote...
Adam : I'll re-shot it using all the suggestions you made.Thank you for taking time with my photo!
So...the new version is in the SBS.Check it out & tell my what do you think!
Thank you all.
sorry, Author! , it say " looks like just my dear old mother "
prolly most important to notice is -------->
RIPSAW: I am truly sorry you had to witness your dear old mother wearing a leaf
