It's technically a beautiful photograph, but in my opinion you were not all that close to the ground when you took it.

I have to agree with Kiwi, this does not, regardless of your reply, give the impression of being shot from ground level. did you mow the grass short in front of the camera, or were you propped on your elbows, I think the latter is the case personally.

elbows or even squatting according to the contest brief is fine.

Thank you all for your comments...the tree is actually only a meter or so tall at it's highest point and my angle is clearly below that. I normally have a power handle attached to a full sized DSLR and even when setting the camera directly on the ground, the lens is a few inches off the ground. The grass was fairly short, but I was laying down and shooting.

The liquid in the glass is a different color than the liquid in the bottle, otherwise, this is a cute composition.

i thought of that as i was setting the shot up. but, i didn't think that it would be noticed !! leave it to your critical eye and power of observation !! wonder how many more will notice it?? thanx for the compliment.

I noticed that the poker hand, Aces and eights. This is called dead mans hand, the hand Wild Bill Hickok was holding when he was shot from behind in that fateful day on Deadwood South Dakota.

These look like they were shot on the same day

These are both nice, but I'm not sure I see any huge difference, or "improvement." Both have musician (one playing, one packing) and both have blurred people going by (one on left, one on right)
