Nicely done, but I do feel the headlights detract from the image.
Personally I think the headlights give the image more depth and intrigue. It reminds you that, while these stars are moving around overhead, life carries on down here.
I love the headlights as well, it makes it seem as if this was a snapshot and not a long exposure. I also love the angle!
Thanks for the input, I had thought about not including the headlights but ultimately decided that I like the fact that unlike almost all other star trail photos the addition of the headlights gives a sense of action. Most foreground images in star tail photos are interesting but lifeless subjects, just wanted to give it a different touch
Love this one well done

Drops on a table and a macro lens used. (5 years and 3540 days ago)
looks kind of psychodelic
fun composition, well done..........
I think a bigger high res photo is needed, looks like a chop instead of a photo. Sorry but to me I can not see any side curvature in the droplets
@Glockman, it is droplets on glass. Very Very difficult to get the edges sharp. you need like f2000!! lol, or a huge amount of software shapening which causes alot of noise. Which is why this is probably as big as the author would like to show. Nothing chopped here.
No chopping, wouldn't know how - the white is from cardboard behind the owl.
i don't really get it
I figured you had the droplets on a surface. Not a bad idea either.
You drop the water onto a very clean glass flat surface - in my case I have a glass table - the position your object under it all. Then with a macro lens on your cam you get over the drops and focus on them. It's pretty hard and this is the first time I've tried this.
nice entry and good effort here. like the effect of the pattern
nice idea
Very cool!
