Isn't finding a penny good luck? I do believe the contest says "Bad Luck Omens". I think a description is in order.
EDIT: like I said, a description would help. Closer crop wouldn't hurt either.
I found this penny in a local water fountain. I hope their wish came true. (5 years and 3442 days ago)

A penny dfacing down is bad luck to pick up...rule is to turn it right side up and leave it for next person.
It is a good shot, but it got me confused too...
Remsphoto is correct
As a numismatist (one who studies or collects coins) to help clerify Nator, this is the reverse or the back side of the coin. The obverse is the front side.

This guy was sitting off by himself and appeared to be deep in thought. (5 years and 3654 days ago)
excellent capture..........ust lacks a little contrast, and perhaps reduce the levels, it is a little bright to the left of the shot, but the contrast adjusment might fix this.

good, but, imo, the lighting is just a little harsh.

Nice!
Thx birdhm!! That means a lot considering I fell on my butt trying to get this shot!
NOW I WANT A SHOT OF THAT!!!!
Not that kind of shot goofy! The shot of the picture...now that I think of it may be a shot of liquor will take some pain away!
great idea, just a shame it's a little soft.
I played with the contrast the colors and this is as good as it's gonna get. Still don't know what "soft" means.
Soft means it's a little out of focus and I agree. Try using your macro setting when getting this close next time.
