My hunch is that you're still young and beautiful, so go for it, much as good acting occasionally has little if anything at all to do with age and/or good looks.
Oh, jerostone. You are too sweet! In fact, I am 47....will be 48 next month. Alas, my wanderlust years have passed me by for this dream....but I will always remember the good times I've had.
