This is a very nice photograph, however I don't see where it demonstrates washing in any way.

Yellow-footed Green Pigeon
also known as Yellow-legged Green Pigeon, is a common species of green pigeon found in the Indian Subcontinent. It is the state bird of Maharashtra.In Marathi it is called Hariyal. The species feeds on fruit, including many species of Ficus. They forage in flocks. In the early morning they are often seen sunning on the tops of emergent trees in dense forest areas. The dovecote tower was built in 1910 by the owners of Rivington hall in Lancashire. All floors except the top floor was used to house pigeons. It stands at the top of the the old terraced gardens, and is a stones throw from Rivington Pike, Lancashire.
