This was one mighty snow storm. The light source is a nearby gas station, hence the reason why only a portion of the tree is well lit. It also helped show all the falling snow. (5 years and 3433 days ago)

I took this at new years....I have no idea what the conversation was about, but the look on my friend's faces was classic! (5 years and 3595 days ago)
It's a unique shot but personally I would level it. Use the bar in the background for a guide.
thanks jawsh, I straightened it a little, but I don't want it too straight, it is a casual shot, not posed!
YES, definitly on topic
Yes I know these are not posed, doesn't mean you can't make the photo the best presentation. IMO, I think it would look better with the bar perfectly level.
sometimes, a little use of angle changes the way a shot works, and I think it is okay in this case........but thank you for your opinion, it is always welcome...
the angle of the photo and bar kind of add to the quirkiness to the photo love it

wonderful shot
I live in Sacramento...don't get much snow. Also new to photog...I am assuming that is snow in the background. How or what did you do to make it look this way? It looks kind of "furry" (sorry for the odd description). Thanks.
This is a magnificent photo. I live in Northern Minnesota and have seen my share of blizzards. You have masterfully captured the desolate mood and pure beauty of a genuine winter snow storm. Well done!
Thank you very much. Gigi, I didn't do anything special here. The snow was thick, and falling hard, hence the "furry" look = ) The light source was coming from the right only, and I think that helped show the snow. Athousandwords, thank you, I truly got lucky here, right place, right time.
Friiskiwi, thank you for your nice comment.
It looks so surreal. I really think it is such an interesting shot. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely fantastic ! Even the ground is great ! It's my own vision but I feel like I'm in a Tim Burton movie watching your Picture ! Good luck !
Thank you guys very much. I was coming back from work, and since I'm so addicted to taking pictures, I bring my camera with me everywhere. Sometimes it really works out =)
