Your background is extremely blown out and it really distracts from the rest of the shot. My advice would be to crop down to her face only. It would remove the blown out quality and have more focus on the theme: the sunglasses

This photograph was shot during the "magic hour" everything lite up in gold-I waited until the two herons were in perfect symmetry. stuck my 35mm and zoom lens through a hole in a fence for a tripod-I used kodak Gold 200 film (5 years and 3475 days ago)

Beautiful shot, and what a handy tripod. I remember the 'golden light' that used to backlight my dogs, it was magical.

This is very nice but I think it would look better if you hadn't cut off the top of the tree.
I agree with locksmagic. I also think a full reflection in the water would have made this shot even more impressive
