I understand that this is a 20 sec exposure, but due to the lack of movement i feel it does not show any time lapse.
In this contest, your goal is to make a long exposure photo. The exposure time can be freely chosen and the subject material can be whatever you believe will make a great timed image. In your description - post your chosen exposure time.
The description says nothing that specifically states: "must show or imply movement"
I agree with what yyou are saying, but this also does not really imply a long exposure shot, it could as easily have been taken just as well, with larger aperture, and slower speed!!
doesn't really imply a long exposure shot? I dono...
Author you need to take a pic with long exposure in such a manner that it creates something different. If the same shot can be taken as faster shutter speeds then there is no big deal in the long exposure snap. It should give you some nice effect or something unique which cannot be created with faster shutter speeds. Hope you get my point....
Govin & Ade...I get your point, but, for the record, f/3.5 would have left parts of the boulding oof due to shallow dof; I know, I tried several exposures for this one. I'm not one to start or take part in much controversy on this site...but my point is this...it's geared more to the fact of the conflicting title of the contest and the description. It's more about getting whomever picks and posts the final contests to get a bit more specific and start posting contests where most photographers have to THINK and SHOOT rather than dig through their extensive archives just to find a shot.
Howdie stranger!
