I like the shot as is lengthwise because it gives it the feel of being really long as if it lasts forever.

I don't really see the OOF (Out of Focus) myself, but it would be a lot more beneficial if there were an HR (High resolution) version available to view. The sky getting cropped a little bit is a good idea. I think what they mean by soft is probably the OOF comments which I think is also "opinion". Sometimes it can add character. If you can replace it with high res, I'll hold off on my vote.
