@ Alan, I was raised in England and they were pretty much like this when I grew up. As soon as I walked in I could feel the back of my hand get hot from the memory of getting whacked with a ruler by the head mistress! Things are very different today!

Anderson's Free School was founded by Jonathan Anderson in 1814. This later became Anderson's Institute, then enlarged as Forres Academy in 1926. The building was modernised & converted to a primary school in 1971. (5 years and 3073 days ago)
