Curly cork screw in bottle of wine (5 years and 3486 days ago)
I am sure ...
This is a Fuzzy Screw (Peach Schnapps, Vodka and Orange Juice) in a clear honeycomb glass with a stir stick inside. (5 years and 3610 days ago)
I am sure ...
Interesting shot. A little over-exposed at the top, but I think it kind of adds to the "sci-fi" quality of it overall. I wouldn't have guessed I was looking down into a drink.
Abstract...
yes a bit over-exposed- guess what was directly behind the glass? pxleyes on the computer screen
isn't that the same drink as a Fuzzy Naval? Maybe it has different names
Fuzzy Navel is just peach schnapps and orange juice--this one has vodka added. Usually a vodka and orange juice is a screwdriver.

A picture of a magnetic screw sculpture kit purchased for $7 from Borders. (5 years and 3625 days ago)
good macro, but a controversial title.....lol
Good dof and sweet bokeh but not very reflecting?
Unique entry and shiny enough. Good luck!

The black background doesn't really work for this picture. It's really hard to see the cork screw itself as its so hidden in the darkness. The cork itself sticks out way more than the corkscrew.
Yea,I know but thanks Shikyo...this is better
Looks much better now. Now you can clearly see the shape of the cork screw and it sticks out really nice.
The background color is much better now, but, you have a very harsh shadow from the flash in the photo...in the future, to lessen the shadow and have a stronger photo, move the subject further from the background and you will get a softer or sometimes non-existent shadow. for small things such as this, a meter or so from the background will do the trick, also a bonus, the shallow dof will blur the background and you will get the result you are looking for, a nice clear subject on a subdued backdrop
thank you itsmymoment...in future I will try that...
Good idea, but the flash is far too harsh, and background too close to the subject. Try again.
Congrats on your 22nd place!
