Nice composition and complimentary color Author, but the photo is a bit flat, lacking a decent amount of light, perhaps try using a bit more natural light and a reflector to get good light and definition in the future. Macros and close-ups are notoriously hard to light well.

It looks a bit dull and flat (like many winters days). I f you have Photoshop, try using auto curves. otherwise, try to increase the contrast.

You can make changes that affect the whole image, but not selective editing. Have a look through the rules, there is actually quite a lot you can do.
