Have you tried to crop the ground so as only to have sky & jumping guy^

That's not the ground but hills and houses far away ^^
I tried but the model was too low and the composition seemed wrong. :O

imo, this is more about the sea than about the person in front of it. not really a portrait shot at all.

yeah, i agree. it says "I'm not talking about people far away. I was thinking more along the lines of a portrait showing the back of their heads...", hard to tell if this is front or back.
